If your website does not pull up or you receive the message "There is no DNS entry for http://www.forexample-domain.com", there are several possible explanations:

Ensure your site and your domain name are active:

|
|
If
you can reach the site with the Instant
Access Domain Alias and you know it has been more
than 72 hours since the name was released by InterNIC,
clear your cache, then attempt to access your site again.

| If others are able to reach the site using the domain name but you cannot (even after clearing the cache), contact your local ISP and ensure that they have updated their DNS records. | |
|
If you are unable to reach the site using either the domain name OR the IP address, and you have followed the troubleshooting steps above, you may be experiencing connectivity problems, and should contact Planet Net Technical Support for assistance. Be sure to include a detailed description of all of the steps you have taken. If you are able to reach other sites with your browser, run a traceroute. This will take a few minutes. For more information, go to How do I run traceroute? |
